A quick introduction, more may come later. I am student of mathematics and have had some experience teaching it. This has inspired to write the following essay. It essentially advocates for why teachers should used math papers as a learning device for mathematics. The essay comes with another essay, so you get two in one. Happy readings!

One last note. I like my writing to be thought out. I am not a blogger who just writes whatever is on their mind. I like to consider interesting questions carefully and with hopefully more insight due to spending greater time on the question. Thus blog posts will not come every day and being as busy as I am, I cannot say for certain what will come the next. However, I will tell a couple of things I am pondering.
I: Someone won the Mega Millions which was 450 million. The winner has two options: they take 281 million now or they get paid about 15.5 million once a year for 29 years which yields them the 450 million. My friend says investment will pay of better so take the money now, but I am curious as to whether having the money tied up in mutual funds or whatever is really that great. In other words, the obvious answer to the problem, what gives you more money at the end of 29 years is taking the money now, but lets be clear, that means we put it in the bank and sit on it, so in a future essay I may try to reframe the questions and explore it a bit more.
II: Another friend of mind mentioned to me that music is less complex than it used to be. I know it is hard not to sound an elitist when saying that. But complexity is actually quite a measurable property. In fact, one rudimentary way of getting at the problem would be to try various compression on the files and see how well they compress. It is hard to know what he means by complex. Melodies and maybe chord progressions are becoming less, but I would argue textures are as complex as ever given the availability of virtual instruments and synthesizer. This is why this question needs further investigation.
